Cómo probar un cargador lento
Los cargadores lentos se utilizan para cargar de manera segura baterías automotrices y de otro tipo. Los cargadores tienen al menos un medidor como parte de los controles. Los medidores pueden indicar la cantidad de amperios que fluyen desde el cargador hacia la batería (amperímetro) y el voltaje suministrado por la batería (voltímetro). Utilice estos medidores para probar el cargador lento.
Paso 1
Connect the trickle charger to the battery and monitor any gauges on the trickle charger. Look for identifying labels such as "Ammeter" and "Voltmeter."
Paso 2
Read the setting on the ammeter. There may be a gradated scale on the meter. This meter indicates that the trickle charger is sending power to the battery and that the trickle charger works. Indications such as "Charge" mean the trickle charger is sending low, safe amps to the battery. "Start" is found on combination trickle chargers/vehicle starters and indicates high amps are being sent. In any case, any movement in the ammeter needle from zero indicates the charger is working.
Mira el voltímetro. Le dirá cuántos voltios hay disponibles en la batería. El movimiento de esta aguja con el tiempo indica que el cargador lento está realizando su trabajo. Por ejemplo, si el voltímetro muestra 6v al comienzo del día y 12v al final, sabrá que se ha producido una carga. Los voltímetros suelen funcionar independientemente de que el cargador esté encendido o apagado.
